This course is intended for those who wish to pursue a career within the hospitality industry. Award students will study 2 core units, 1 mandatory unit and 1 or 2 optional units. Certificate students will study 2 core units, 2 mandatory units and 3 optional units.

The externally assessed units consist of a 1½ hrs written assessment set and marked by Edexcel.

Requirements/skills: for acceptance onto the course:- 4 GCSEs/BTEC Level 1 qualification. Students must be prepared to take part in practical activities on a regular basis.

Career opportunities:- progression to level 3, employment in the hospitality industry.
